A Journey Through This World
I have traveled extensively in Concord—but I prefer my own backyard. This is my virtual backyard. You're invited to stay a while and read a few lines.
The poet W. B. Yeats wanted to prove to himself that pagan belief was alive and well in Ireland under a veneer of Christianity. So he asked a fisherman on one of the innumerable islands in Clew Bay, How many gods are there? One, said the fisherman, greatly disappointing the poet. However, he added, perhaps noticing that Yeats was crestfallen, This is a very small island.
There are more things in heaven and earth...
